The South African vocal historian and performer Masello Motana is this year’s artist in residence of the Wissenschaftsforum. Motana uses melody and memory as methodological tools to revisit and revise history. The Diaspora Experiment is a research project on the musical memories of diaspora communities in NRW. Together with Germany-based musicians, memories and melodies of Afro-German and diasporic communities will be condensed into a collective sound space. The performance at Forum Unser Ebertplatz will be accompanied by a panel discussion.
